As some of us have
been aware, George Kimmons has not been well.
This is the latest update from Ann Kimmons. We’ll try and keep all advised as best we can.
Hi All,
Moving
day finally arrived. Kathy & I moved Kim to Beverly Health Care in
Lake Mary today. It's brand spanking new, has only 16 residents as of
tonight, (lots more on the way), only 4 miles from our front door and takes me 9
minutes to get there!! The move didn't seem to faze Kim one way or another.
He seemed content when I left him tonight after having eaten ALL of his dinner.
I already know of 3 nurses from Kim's "old" nursing home who know him
very well and are wonderful caregivers who are transferring to the
"new" one. That's a plus in itself. His mental status
hasn't changed much in the last 2 months since being released from the hospital.
But he's still his sweet ole self ....most of the time....and still cracking
jokes sometimes. Any of you who live near please feel free to visit him.
He may not remember your name but if he's not sleeping he'll be a most gracious
host. I recommend you not call his room because phone conversations
confuse him but you can call the facility at 407-805-3131 and ask for the
nurses' station for room 422. They will let you know if it is a good time
to visit. (Sometimes he sleeps all day). The address is 710 North
Sun Drive, Lake Mary, FL 32746. It's
right off Lake Mary Blvd. behind the MedPlex building. That's it for now.
Thanks for caring. Ann
